Telkom Internet Uncapped User Feedback.

I was at the Telkom shop yesterday and the lady mentioned they have already begun doing the line upgrades discussed a while back.
Can anyone in Charlo, PE vouch for this?
They've apparently started at Lovemore Heights because of the larnies.
 
I dont know what is going on in CPT. I am on a 4mb uncapped bundle and I've done 44 gb this month. I cant manage more than 60kb/s on HTTP nor torrents nor NZBs. Not only that, downloads fail half way. I open exactly the same HTTP download (http://unity3d.com/unity/download/download-windows) on my Afrihost account and I manage full line speed constant. @Ranger...Whats going on with the network lately? Is there over subscription happening or what?
 
Sorry if this has been asked before or discussed, read a few pages back and haven't seen anything relating to it and tried to search but nothing. Do you guys think when the line speed upgrades take place we will be getting an upgrade on our uncapped accounts?

Nope, you'll have to pay extra for the ISP account upgrade.

Thanks MickeyD, hoping the Do all in one packages see a bit of a price cut then because it would be senseless to have a 4mb line with 2mb bandwidth available so they may as well downgrade the line rental included.
 
TelkomInternet sure doesn't make it easy to sign up :S Filled in the form on the webpage, it said I'll receive a callback. By the time I got home, still nothing - so I called them. Got the account activated... but it doesn't authenticate. Another call to the tech support, where I got hold of an arrogant, impatient fellow who skipped classes in manners.

When he finally realised that I'm not a fool and that I am typing the password correctly into the router settings, he was stumped too. (At this point I did sympathise with him a *little* bit, maybe he was having a bad day and had to deal with dyslexic typers for hours on end - that'd drive me insane too :P) Still, unpleasant customer service has unfortunately become the norm in the call centres.

Anyway, issue still not resolved, he apparently sent an email to accounts to activate the (already activated?) account.

Bloody hell. I'm having zero luck with ISP's the last few weeks.

Anyone from Telkom available to take a PM to help me out with this? The call centre is... infuriating :(

Telkom is completely dead for me. (Kzn region) Happened about 15min ago, reset router, checked usage, all checks out and had to switch to temp Afihost acc.... Hmmm
