Back too normal this morning, so I suspect "they" were working on lines or configs during the night.
 
I just need a bit of advice ...

I've been upgraded to 4Mb Uncapped from 2Mb, but I'm only able to sync at 3Mb. Call Centre agent told me there's a lot of noise on my line, so dispatched a Telkom technician to investigate. He came over, and found no problems. I'm about 1Km from the exchange. Just wanting to know, could it possibly be my router that's causing the problem ? Had it since 2008'ish. Just curious before I buy a new one. I have a Tenda. Not sure of the model, but like I said, it's roughly 5 years old now. Don't really know of anyone near me whose router I can borrow to test with either.
 
Just joined Telkom uncapped. was wondering how there throttling and shaping works. Are there fixed numbers like with Mweb?

roughly 100 times the speed package you picked. If you schedule your downloads between 12 and 6 in the morning you will not be throttled.

P2P is heavily shaped/throttled nowdays. Torrents perform horrible during the day, after 12am it gets slightly better.

P2p is only good between 12 and 6am, up to 8am, after that you might as well send a carrier pigeon.
 
Hellopeter next, people hate the site, but then you have no luck dealing with companies such as this.

Tried calling three times today, the first time I got the odd response that you can't have a 10MB uncapped account, the other two times on hold for 10min before giving up.

Tweeted them 5 hours ago as well, no response, and they have been active.

Just logged into my brand new account. Not impressed at all. :cry: Something is wrong

It's 2mb, here are the results. I'll try again in a while.


Also, NNTP is very slow. I'm using NextGenNews and Saix as backup.

Just tried some hulu ... Not working. And it's 6pm.

Same crap different week.

Afrihost perfect.

What is going on ?
 
Netflix, Hulu and Vevo has been streaming perfectly for the past few weeks now. No problems at all.
My 4 Mbps line is running at full speed.
