Working this morning again in PE but for how long?
If the last few days are anything to go by then I can expect a broken international line again.
I've resorted to stocking up on nzb downloads in anticipation of no internet this evening.
I am using a usenetbucket account.
I tried saix last night when international traffic was farked, thinking that maybe local news would work.
Nope seems like saix is down.
So this morning I lined about 15 or so gb on Usenetbucket.
Running full speed.
So I'll take advantage of the speed window while I can.
In all honesty though, usenetbucket is cheap and by far a better bet than local free news.
Not even R50 a month for 1100 days retention and 25 connections.

Yeah, I've observed this too. It seems like it could be a lack of international capacity.I've also noticed the connection seems great in the early morning (before 7-ish), but after that it QUICKLY goes downhill. Yesterday morning I was running at 3.6mbps down and 200ms latency internationally and got very optimistic, but then last night my connection dropped to 70kbps down with 600ms latency internationally...
Seems we won't be getting an official response anytime soon, so I'm just waiting it out until the end of the month and taking it from there.

This is very disturbing because I would have thought that Telkom have provisioned for this due to their line speed upgrades.
