TelkomZA twitter account should be banned for ignoring a lot of people including me :mad: If it were alive, I would give it a good beating. I'm capable of doing things... things that we all are capable of doing to our enemies when we are full of unbridled rage.
 
Esh, well Im trying out the Mweb free trial, and it is a whole different world now.

I see now that ADSL can actually be relatively stable, and that by me trying to be clever and signing up with Telkom to save R45 a month, I really screwed myself with R514 a month.

Thank heck I was able to cancel my ISP with them today - what a mission in itself too.

Telkom, at least let your customers know whats happening - if you let me know that it was just a day or two that you had problems - great, I understand it, I would not have jumped ship to another ISP, but ffs - its the 8th of the month and lots of people cant download squat - do you think they are optimistic for the rest of the month?

Yeah, torrents are super low so i resorted to using a Seedbox and it is working out way better. upto 5 mins for a few GB files and straight down to me via SFTP/HTTP (still new to this) :O. Cost is minimal and i don't have to leave it overnight on my side and waste upload (public sites). :) Amazon pilots, here i come :D

Thanks for the links Grouter, really cool to know more sites.

Couldn't even manage one GB of torrents last night during 00h and 06h on 2mb
 
Torrents totally dead ... Even a download with HTTP is giving me 200kbs instead of full line speed... arggggghhhh ... pain in the #$@$@$@$%%^$%$ - and I don't even download that much... grrrrrr.

To the dude above that moved to Mweb: Mweb is worse than Telkom. If you download to much they'll threaten you and make you feel like a criminal ... and if you continue to download too much terminate your account. Mweb uncapped is only for people that don't download a lot... kind of defeats the point in my book... My dealings with Mweb made me a life-time Mweb avoider. Even looking at an Mweb banner here on MyBB gives some thoughts of disgust.

What is going on ????? Maybe an enlightened one from Telkom can inform us to what this slow irritation of a pain in the #$%#$#@#$@!!@$$ is all about.

Romito, don't know if you noticed but torrents have not been running at all for a few days now. It would work after hours (10/12pm - 6/7am) but not anymore. Still think this is temporary but with no word as to an ETA for a fix, we can all but hope they are working on it :).

After switching to a seedbox solution, i have now pulled 22GB since yesterday with a further 60GB (44GB Sochi opening in 1080i goodness with no commentary :p) on the queue. Not much else we can do until they sort the torrent p2p mess out :/.

I also realised that 10MB uncapped is not cutting it for me, i want a GB line :(....:D :o
