I would just like some comments and maybe someone could help in some way.
I stay Inside Fourways Manor, Which contains two Smaller Areas inside.
I stay in Joshua Village and the other one across the Road is Liam Village.
So I've first ordered the Telkom Line on 16 December 2013, Techie came out and he couldn't figure out where the Telkom Lines should go. He then told me that He is going to Drive to the Security at the Gate and ask for a Plan of the complex. Instead he just Left, I was waiting for 15 minutes and phoned security. They said he asked for nothing and just Left.
Went to Telkom Direct Store the next day and asked them why the line wasn't installed? The lady said that the notes left by the Techie was that "Client was not Ready"? So now I still had no idea what was going on.
I requested the second Techie, he came out. Mnr. Pieter Moster, Knew what he was doing and immediately started opening Manhole covers around to see if we have cables to work with.
We discovered that the Manholes are full of sand and thus blocking the Pipe which the Two Pair cable should be drawn through from the Bottom of the Row of complexes to my Unit.
So I had organised with the Body Corporate, to have these Manhole's cleared and cleaned.
After I have confirmed that they have been cleaned. I went to Telkom to organise another Techie to do the Installation.
Then on 5 March, Wednesday he gave me a call and I explained to him that they need to Install a Two pair cable of about 160m. He then said he will talk to his Supervisor.
Half an hour later I got a call back from the Techie, He said that he will come on 7 March Friday to install the cable for me.
This morning 7 March I gave him a call at 09:00 since he said he will be here at 08:00. Then he explained that His Supervisor said that they cant Install a 2 Pair cable from the Telkom Box to my unit. He said they first need to come install a "Bigger Cable" to all the units. This will be done by the Planning Department and that they have no contact details for them...
But this is a lie, since at Liam village, Purple Line on Screenshot. There is a 2 pair cable inside the Manhole for Every Unit and its drawn all the way down from Start of the Telkom Box.
But now for me they want to come and Install some "Bigger Cable". Why can't they do the same for me?
I need to do work from home but 3G is very expensive for Video calls and Teamviewer/WebEx...
Now what should I do? Who can I phone to organise ADSL at my place ASAP!
