Telkom Line Speed doubling?

My router still displays 4096 download and 512kbs/s upload.What is the fuss about?Oh sorry Mweb international is downloading at 2,89 Mgb/s when before it was 1,39Mgb/s.Yippee fnb connect averages a download speed of 3,59 Mgb/s .

:cool:

Oh Christ, i completely ignored the page where i log in, the details are right there :eek: lol !

Thanks very much !

I know it's unlikely that I'm in the process of getting bumped, but my connection's been acting really strangely starting around 7:30 and this would be the second time in two years or so that it's not working perfectly.
May just be a routing issue, but here's hoping!

This last week my grabit peaked at 925Kb/s. It was only once though and then things evened out at about 350Kb/s

Strange this morning it is back to 40kbps. Hmmm well from now I might actually start to believe something might actually be going on!

I am not sure what it is.. but I assume it means:

384->512Kb
512->4Mb
4Mb->8Mb

I hope not, cause many people will be very mad then.

384->2Mb
512->4Mb
4Mb->8Mb

Sounds waaayyyyyy better
+1

BTW, is it possible to view line sync info on a Linksys WRT54GL (stock firmware)?

_da.

well.. as mentioned before..

we've been bumped up on our 512kbps at work.. we're currenty syncing at

down : 2048kbps
up : 512kbps.

its constant at that speed

384->512Kb
512->4Mb
4Mb->8Mb
Someone at Telkom support confirmed these speeds.

A trial is currently ongoing with selected clients, and the speed-upgrade for the rest will happen early next year.

I'm disappointed that 384 is not changing to 1MB :(

well i played dota with person using 8 mbit line and had only 10 ms ping compared to my 26 ms 4 meg ping

"someone" and "imminent" must be the MOST hated words on myBB

Please could 'someone' hence forth be referred to as 'an unreliable source' and 'imminent' as 'possibly on the cards.' IMHO, it would avoid a lot of confusion/irritation
