I believe you've been sorted ... But my advice is to hang tight a little on the remote side of things.
Yeah, Nology informed they have some new remotes coming soon, much like you said, thanks.

Mine did two updates, no problems. Disabled all apps except Showmax and Youtube. Then installed Kodi and Tune In. Works like a dream, was on the verge of buying a Mi Box when this came through. Saved me a grand so I am happy.

Anyone wanting to sell a LIT box? I want another one for my daughter's TV.

Found this thread after I experienced some issues with my LIT box after the update this morning. Netflix says that version is not compatible and cant open dstv now. When i click on it, it goes to the app store window and only displays full description option. Cannot download or open dstv now from play store.

Your box, has if I don't miss with my guess, needs to still do second update - after which they will work.

My A11 seems to be bricked - it did the first update, now no display.
Pulled the power a few times - the power light comes on , the Net light blinks every few seconds.
Unplugged USB stick, no other cards plugged in.
No display at all, even after power off reboot.

Unfortunately you will have to wait for 2nd update. You need to be on 38.

Try rebooting device and leaving it on, hopefully the update popup shows soon.
Came right this morning thanks. Will setup tonight

Try it on a different tv if you can. Mine did the update and I could not see squat. Plugged it in on my newer Samsung . Lowered the resolution. Plugged it back in on my old lg and bam it worked. Set the resolution back to auto and bobs your uncle

My second A11 updated this morning, no issues, will setup NetFlix, DSTV Now, Show Max, and Prime Video, when I get home this afternoon

A09 got bricked, but A11 updated lastnight with no issues.
Will check if everything works later today.

After both updates, the "mouse" button on my remote doesn't work. Anyone else have this problem, or is there a fix?

The remote works perfect, it's just that the mouse button doesn't bring up the pointer on the screen.

Ahh, but the airmouse is normally the 1st to go when batteries are getting flat. Thereafter it's the directional keys.
Hence my suggestion to check batteries.

Hi all,

A quick update from our side.

  • A07 and A11 devices should have received the update. We enabled the update for the last batch of A11’s this morning.
  • A06 and B05 devices will receive the update next week, the update campaigns are scheduled to start on Monday.
  • We are seeing quite a few devices that don’t have sufficient space to download the update. Please ensure that the device has at least 700 Mb free in order for the update to download and apply.
  • SD cards cause problems. If the device downloads the update package to the SD card, the update will fail since the SD card can’t be read during the update process. The safest course of action would be to remove the SD card completely; it can be re-inserted after the update has been successful.
  • The update campaign has been very successful with a failure rate of below 1%. We managed to recover every device that exhibited problems during the update process, no devices lost.
  • Unfortunately we can’t supply anyone with the firmware image since the process includes a step that burns an electronic serial number to the device. Due to HDCP rules we are not allowed to distribute this image and tools to the public.
  • If you encounter any issue during the process, please send an email to support@nology.co.za outlining the issue encountered. Please also supply us with the serial number/MAC address that is printed on the label underneath the device.
