Meaning no infrared at all?Sorry ... I didn't, but the others confirmed it is full Bluetooth
When you get it (unpaired) it's IR... You can browse, but no voice. Once it is paired, everything is channeled through Bluetooth (going on what they've said.... I forgot to test)Meaning no infrared at all?
Reason im asking is id want to use the IR functionality with my current home setup. BT may not have the rangeWhen you get it (unpaired) it's IR... You can browse, but no voice. Once it is paired, everything is channeled through Bluetooth (going on what they've said.... I forgot to test)

So then it's strange that it doesn't work with the Mi Box - bluetooth controls should be universal?

Id like to only use the IR. My box is in the lounge, my tv is in the bed room. Using IR blaster to communicate. Not quite sure I'm understanding - sorry

Yep, 20mWow, must have a super long HDMI cable to get from your lounge to bedroom tv
Ok cool thxAh I see - so you don't have an existing box with IR only remote ?
You can still buy an IR only remote to use though ?
Or if you get a B10, just don't pair it

As all the apps had issues, try give the LIT a static IP outside your DHCP range. Try setting on router first. If this doesn't help, then set the static IP directly on the LIT as well as router.
I tried the fixed ip address, but it makes no difference. Dstv Now does not log in. I even tried a friend's login details as well as my own login. The internet site says success, but the lit box just sits on the dat screen with the pin showing. How does one do this? Thanks in advance
An update: I had a 90-minute online chat with a dstv agent, trying to get my lit box to connect to dstv now. The guy just followed a very boring flowchart at an extremely slow pace, then said that he will escalate the issue. Some advice would be appreciated, please.
My lit box updated successfully to Oreo about 2 months ago. I don't use it very often, but the last few weeks it refused to stream dstv Now. Fault-finding included switching between WiFi and lan, resetting the dstv app, restarting the lit, etc. Eventually I pulled the power-plug, waited 10 seconds and rebooted it. I was pleasantly surprised that dstv Now was working fine after the power cycle.
Unfortunately, this became routine. After a day or so of lit box sleeping, Dstv Now would only stream after a power cycle. On further investigation, I saw that ShowMax and YouTube would also not work before the power plug was pulled. I also found that I could not even cast before the power cycle.
This morning I factory reset the lit box. It started up fine and updated all the default apps.
However, now I cannot get dstv Now to log in. It gives me the code that must be entered via the internet.
I log in to dstv.now/tv on my pc and enter the code. The PC receives a message to indicate that the log-on was successful, but the dstv app on the lit box does not receive any acknowledgement.
Does anyone have advice regarding getting the dstv now app logged in? There have been a number of posts where similar login issued with dstv were mentioned, but no-one came back with a miracle solution.

The lit box refuses to log into dstv now after a factory reset, but it logged into showmax on the first attempt.
Could the issue be that too many devices have been assigned on the account? All the resetting created a problem.
What is odd is that you said you tried another person's account and that also didn't work. Its like your internet has an issue. Another option is to got to said buddy and see if you can get up and running on their internet.
That is exactly what my box was doing. I did a factory reset, now I cannot log into dstv now at all. Refer to my posts above, from yesterday and the day before for more info.My Lit Box is acting up. I switch on, open app and then the app just hangs. Happens to all apps.
Some apps will just display the splash screen for much longer than usual and then close automatically. Others like DSTV Now will open, and then get stuck when I try to play something. Pressing the back button in both these scenarios will take me back to the home screen so its not freezing completely, just having trouble opening apps.
Clearing the cache and restarting the box does seem to help, but have to do this everyday. Was not the case before.
