Telkom LIT Android media box - Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

Does anyone here view cameras or use smart home devices on the box ?
Is there a native Android TV app that could work?

There are apps for IP CCTV camera's I believe, for phones, no idea for TV boxes. We are putting up camera's at the complex, and I am wondering about, the same functionality. Waiting on the electrician and handyman type to sort out their respective quotes, before the camera folks can do their thing. :(

How do I give my flash drive access to be able to transfer files from my device storage to it. I tried ES File explorer but it doesn't allow me to write to the flash. When I tried FS Explorer, it gives me a notice to enable writing to external storage- when I try to enable this I get the error: "This device does not appear to support the Android Storage Access Framework"
How do I solve the problem? Thanks

Hi
Please help.
Netflix was working perfectly, we had load shedding, and now it loads fine, but after 20 seconds of starting a show, it just stops and says that there is an error.

obviously i cannot remove and reinstall, as it is the latest firmware, i did put back to default, and didnt update, yet still gives same error.
ipad version works fine, on same wifi network.

any ideas

Try clearing data and cache under Apps in Settings?

After about 90seconds still the same.

Go to more details . Reset Netflix . Make sure you have username and password as you will need to reenter. If this doesn’t resolve issue it’s your ISP having issues with google DNS’s or internet issue.

Yet it still works fine on iPad on the same wifi network

I have, I have uninstalled all updates, cleared cache, everything. Put username in and password... Still same result. I see we cannot uninstall Netflix completely, is it hard-coded into new firmware.

Need to find my post a while back - I think I had the same problem. Something to do with HDMI CEC.

Found it. #2553 - not sure if this helps with your problem. Slightly different to the problem I had.

Netflix resume/ fast-forward error fix

I had this problem. Was driving me nuts.

Disable Hdmi self adaption in TV settings. That worked for me.

Still get the odd hiccup though.

I can't believe it was such a 'simple' solution!! I was never going to find that on my own!

Thank you!

for anyone else with this problem of Netflix movies/ series not resuming from part way through and not able to fast-forward:
1. open the Android TV settings (cog at the bottom of the screen)
2. go down the list and open TV Settings
3. open Playback setting
4. Disable HDMI self adaption

Go back a little in this thread and look for more info - there should be two updates, after which you can check if your box is on the current (updated) version.

Make sure you don't have an ad blocker on in the background. Blokada does that from time to time on my Netflix. Only when I disable it and restart the device, does it not give me that issue. Hopefully you in the same boat.
