Did you just pick one up or were you on a waiting list? And if I was supposed to get a box from another store, can I get it from another branch like canal walk if they have stock?

1. Dstv now streaming was recently improved (!) but its still not proper HD though. I think the resolution might be 720p (on some channels) but the bitrate is well below the usual HD bitrate.

2. Netflix and Youtube are the kings of streaming perfection. I have a 4mb ADSL line as well and can only watch some selected shows or movies on TTV in 1080p without buffering. There are not too many links/sources that are both fast and 1080p.... Try some well known movies as they are more likely to have good fast sources.

Ah i see. Thanks for the tips

Sigh. Seems like most of the staff don't know what's going on

Yeah, well, going to try my luck later this afternoon .... , agree, staff are not all on the same page, and sometimes wonder if they are all in the same country. Tho some are pretty good.

I just bought 1 from a Telkom shop. How do I check if it's A06 or A07?

Underneath the device is a sticker with it's serial number on. The first 3 digits of the serial number will be A06, A07 etc. The example one on display here is an A07 version.

Has anyone used the AV at the back of the unit successfully?

Wouldn't mind knowing myself, as my intended use for it is to connect it to a HDMI monitor that does not have speakers. So am intending to get audio from the AV out. Otherwise will need some sort of adapter to get audio from the HDMI output.

Once again - only have stock for persons who have upgraded their line and on 24 month contract.

Sorry.
