Could you guys, that have the box losing ethernet, and is willing to play with ADB (android debug bridge), try to use the "disable screensaver" part that is in the very first post?

The reason I think that might help, my LIT stays on 24/7 and I never lose ethernet access. The only thing I can think off, its to do with the screensaver timeout I disabled on mine. With this disabled, I can even start DSTV now live streaming, and it keeps on streaming until there is like an internet outage on my line.

Two of the three hyperlinks in that section gives 404

I will try tonight

Mine turns itself off (I get the android tv boot screen when I fire everything up). It's a PITA waiting sometimes, but the network (wired) is fine.

Ok here you go:
Code:
-- Enable ADB http://corochann.com/how-to-enable-developer-mode-in-android-tv-216.html
1. Go to “Settings” at the bottom of LeanbackLauncher
2. Select “About” icon at the top row, most right side
3. Press “Build” button, located at the bottom for 7 times.
4. Go back “Home” and Go to “Settings” again, Developer options are now available on the System Preferences row, right most side.

-- How to connect with ADB to your device @ http://www.aftvnews.com/how-to-connect-to-a-fire-tv-or-fire-tv-stick-via-adb/
1. Install ADB on PC on the network
2. Get network IP of Litbox in network settings or info
3. For me it was: adb connect 192.168.241.xxx

-- Set custom screensaver sleep time @ http://www.aftvnews.com/how-to-set-custom-sleep-or-screensaver-times-on-the-amazon-fire-tv-or-stick-without-root/

Get current sleep timeout with:
adb shell settings get secure sleep_timeout
adb shell settings get system screen_off_timeout

Set new sleep timeout:
adb shell settings put secure sleep_timeout -1
adb shell settings put system screen_off_timeout 2147460000

-- Enable ADB http://corochann.com/how-to-enable-developer-mode-in-android-tv-216.html

Mine keeps loosing the network after waking up from sleep. I have to pull out and reinsert the ethernet cable for it to work.

Anyone else having this problem?

Nope, takes a couple of seconds to establish a connection though.

Interestingly one of those adb settings stopped the mouse thingy from taking over. So i will take that as a win lol

what, thats like 20minutes later.

What exact commands did you use?

The exact ones in your post. When i did that, the player menu was also updated, the timeout option in the menu no longer shows a variable, see below

So is your TV on or off when the box loses network connectivity?

Edit:

Can you run the following commands and add output here?

adb shell settings list global
adb shell settings list system
adb shell settings list secure
