Anybody please just tell me how to rotate an app to its correct position ie Terrarium lol. I just got the Litbox and I'm tearing hair out now.
Terrarium TV - Settings - Android TV - Force Android TV Mode ?/Landscape Setting

the issue sits between the couch and the Lit box

Nope - it's a crap device. Fortunately I picked up a new Roku the other day so I can bury my LIT box in a cupboard somewhere.

FEEDBACK on DSTV NOW

Hi All,

To control the download speed and bandwidth of DSTV NOW app you must drop the Video resolution of the TELKOM TVB-100 box in the VIDEO settings, Mine was at 4K ( Used 1.5Gb/hour) then I used 480 as a test and used 450Mb per hour.

The downside is that ALL the TV BOX APPs now also run at 480 so U end up having to change the video setting all the time instead of just the DSTV NOW app.

Sorted for now.

Thanks a lot
Colin

Cant find VIDEO in the Settings or are you refering to Display under TVSetting?

Roku Express for the spare room.

Now that device also has some severe restrictions. Although they may not effect you - the lack of an Ethernet port or 4K is a huge thing for the majority of people.

But I believe an issue here is Android TV / Netflix (as opposed to all the boxes running 'old' Android) . I'm a running a test box (https://sites.google.com/view/droid-tv/oem/airties) and Android 8 .... still an issue with Netflix!

Since the spare room doesn't have ethernet or a 4k tv it's not really an issue.

I'd be willing to bet there are more non-4k sets in people's houses than 4k and most people rely on wifi in their homes so I'd probably call BS on your "majority".

The price point made it an obvious winner.

You don't think will look towards the future and think they buy based on what they're? Whew - that's short sited to buy for the immediate situation. I stopped buying anything 1080 in early 2017 knowing it'd need to be replaced within the year :/

The price point made it an obvious winner.

True - what is the Roku saving? R100.00?

Personally, I'd rather pay the R100.00 and get UHD / HDR / HDMI 2.0 and know hardware wise, I'm pretty uptodate ...

EDIT : And when I say 'majority' , I know the rough sales figures of the Kwese 1080 box and the LIT ...

Again, your situation.

You
don't need UHD ... You don't need HDR ... you don't need Ethernet ... You have a US$ account. None of those pertain to me, so knocking something because you can get better / cheaper overseas isn't really fair.

Last I checked, I had Rands in my wallet

Ths is the cheapest we can get it locally, albeit excluding shipping and warranties?
Nope - Amazon - less than R700 including any applicable taxes/duties.

DSTV hasn't made their apps available to the Roku so you're SOL on that.

As far as outdated - it plays netflix out of the box. Does the LIT?
