Okay I do feel quite stupid now. Sometimes the "here" hyperlink is not highlighted enough, and I was in a hurry, could have saved myself some time, but thank you for your assistance nonetheless. It is much appreciated
 
Any idea when bug fixes are going to be patched?
 
It would be nice if the guys responsible for the Lit box on the Telkom side (not from the manufacturer) can be present on this forum. Dolby - You seem to have some contacts at Telkom?
 
ok guys, no luck yet with movie files with ac3. If i plug laptop into the tv with hdmi cable then no issue playing the file with sound. when i stream to box using plex then no sound. i have tried switch different settings but the smae result, the file plays but no sounds. I have also tried different files but it is only those that has ac3 sounds that doesnt play sound. Should i get an optical cable for the box to the tv or use spdif cable to another device for the sound?
 
Phone a telkom shop. They have stock, but their system won't let them sell it outright.

Try Plex for Kodi.

Is it not essentially the same thing, obviously you want Plex to work but Kodi for Plex will still give you all the Plex features.

Also my bet would be it's a issue with the Plex app not the box itself, Plex on the Mi Box had issues with 5.1 such as AC3 for the longest time.

here is a option , in plex app press down button on remote , then select the setting gear and change the encoding option from original to another option and let the Plex server do the transcoding for the ac3 stream , i find some files with direct stream and the new auto adjust quality option in plex is casing some weird issue with sound for me.
