Telkom LIT Android media box - Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

Any brand usb or even Bluetooth airmouse will work.

Mine has also gone tot he ****ter and needs to be replaced

I wonder if telkom covers it under the warranty

If you have time to waste - give it a go and tell us the results, you might get lucky, and Telkom replace your "mouse"

Hey Guys

Need some help,

I currently have a 10mbps line with Afrihost paying 897/month.

middle option

Is there any reason why I shouldnt take this telkom offer with a router and a media box and line rental included for 799?

Just wanted to hear you guys experience with Telkom internet.
Telkom has a history with bad customer service, so rather take the package on month to month and get the box and router cash.

I did, no regrets. Been with telkom for years. Took the offer for the router though, not the LIT box. I wanted VDSL and my old router wasn't capable.

How do I check the model number is A07 not A06

At telkom shop the assistant will not sell me a device cash, stating I have to take one with a Telkom product. Do any other retailers sell the device?

Have no idea how to talk sense into these guys, assistant asks the technical guy he says the same thing, device not available for cash sale

Hi All

So I have a HP Microserver set up as a NAS with Ubuntu desktop. All media is stored on this. Microserver is connected to router via LAN. Files are shared via SMB wirelessly to my LIT box. Movies constantly buffer when I play the files using Kodi on the LIT box.

No problems when I stream netflix, showmax etc as I have a 40 MBPS fibre line. My tablet (galaxy note 2014 edition) can also stream from the Microserver using Kodi with no buffering.

So my simple logic is that it is probably not the WiFi strength on the LIT BOX or the SMB sharing protocol. Probably the version of Kodi on the LIT box?

Would be interested to know other's experience.

I have Kodi streaming without buffer issues over smb. It's connected via lan on both, no WiFi.

Maybe you guys have different serial numbers? A06 vs A07?

So i finally managed to buy a lit box.

I have installed Kodi and want to use to play content from my USB - i cannot see the drive when adding source. I can see the drive in the file manager and browse the folders and find a file to play - but adding a source and updating my library does not work. Any suggestions how to resolve?
