Telkom LIT Android media box - Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

Install previous version of YouTube.

Hi guys... just got a LIT for free, already having to unistall YouTube updates, doesn't bode well to start, then no Netflix? I'm definetly not tech savvie, should I keep trying this unit, or look to buying something else, and if so any suggestions

If you want to run the last working version of YouTube you can install Aptoid TV.
You will need to side load it with ES file explorer and have the unknown sources enabled in settings.
Once you have aptoid you can search for YouTube TV and then choose other versions. Go back about 3 versions to the one released in December 2017 and you should be good.
In google play disable auto updates. Been working great for me so far.

Is there still no Android TV Netflix version ?

I've found one that also says incompatible

I have an APK than works on android 7. Full android TV, no surround sound though and now and then I have an initial buffering issue but nothing that can’t be worked around by launching a different stream and then re launching the stream you want

You'll notice that not too many Android 7 or 8 have Netflix working. Netflix has their own commercial reasons for not having it.

So wherever you do in the end, make 100% for it supports the apps you want

Yea I see there are APKs ... But they're all the Android touch (phones and tablets). Wanted to see if there was an Android TV version out ... But I guess the incompatible version in store in the Android TV version

It should be called YouTube for android tv. You can get the apk off of apk mirror as well. Just need to side load it

Which version is the last version that works on Litbox? Dolby mentioned December 2017 version but no such version on Apkmirror.Screenshot_2018-07-26-08-53-20.jpeg

Buy a new one. Someone shared a link to an online shop selling Litbox remotes earlier in this thread. In the meanwhile use Android tv app on your phone or Cetusplay app to control your Litbox.

Also, these remotes aren't original remotes, doesn't have the airmouse feature from what I understand?

They are the original remotes.

The first units (A06 & A07) had the AirMouse with the little 2.4Ghz dongles. However, when Google did their certification, they didn't allow the AirMouse which meant subsequent units (A11 & A12) has the IR remote.
