Telkom LIT Android media box - Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

Is it just me or is Youtube now working properly again? Seems I got an update last night and it now plays without any issues!
 
I also had issues with new dstvnow app. When I finally got it working I didn't like the interface. Uninstalled new app and installed a older version and turned off automatic updates. Working perfectly again. Would be nice to have a tv guide like the android phone app version.

Thats funny, because the new version has the tv guide. Or at least you can see what is on now and will be on next for every single channel.
 
Hi everybody. I have been using a wireless keypad and have been enjoying it for the ease of use etc. I still use the original remote to power the lit box and I'm just curious if anyone here has managed to install a "power button" shortcut onto the home screen as this will make things a lot easier. I have googled the topic but haven't found any answers so far. I would like to put the original remote back into the packaging as it doesn't deserve a place on my coffee table. Any advice would be appreciated.
 
I doesn't have the search functionality like the android version whereby I can see what will be playing on a channel for the next few hours rtf.

Update:

Installed the latest update, YouTube started freezing as soon as I played a video. Uninstalled the app, reinstalled ans still no luck.
Rolled it back to oldest update and playing perfectly.

Annoying yes, do not know of such an app tho. :(

Would be nice e if there was one you could use to reset the connection with however.

anyone maybe have the stock factory rom for the a06 version without bluetooth ? Nology.co.za the suppliers and warranty guyz dont want to help because you are not allowed to flash firmware for hardware that you own ?????????

How are you flashing it? Is it possible to boot with linux?
 
Havent tried linux yet but flashed a couple of different roms with usb flasher. Most s905x roms work. So far the mini m8s ii roms work the best

Having the same problem,does not work eater when you stop it and move down like it used to
 
Is there anyway in Plex, to force videos to be played using VLC. AC3 files will still not play on Lit Box. Even using Plex through Kodi
