Telkom LIT Android media box - Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

if i want it to work, i have to downscale the quality, but smudgy and looks terrible

Is there anyway in Plex, to force videos to be played using VLC. AC3 files will still not play on Lit Box. Even using Plex through Kodi

Plex through kodi plays ac3 files just fine. You need to fix the audio setup in kodi, to remix to DD5.1 or even downmix to stereo, depending on what you need.

Thanks I will try that

You can also use the unofficial android tv version 3.2.2 mod, posted for sometime now in the thread. Works better that the android netflix version

Been using the 3.2.2 mod for a while now - for the past about 2 weeks I can't resume play or fast-forward. I get an error message and have to start the show from the beginning. It also starts by giving me sound and saying loading, and then I have to press the back button and then press play again and it starts. Anyone else having issues? And suggestions to get it working again?

Has anyone heard anymore about an Oreo update for the Kodi. Last I saw here some guys were playing with betas but that was a while ago.

The Oreo update, for the Mi-Box, is out, but has numerous issues, which may, be the reason, we have not gotten it yet on the LIT Tv Box. Apparently there where issues with nVidia Shield Oreo update as well, tho I do not know, if those have been since resolved.

I do experience the same issues sometimes, but a reboot of the lit box, it will go on normal, but seeing that it is the modded version, that is a problem. Quick qeustion, do the new interface also frustrate you?

I had this problem. Was driving me nuts.

Disable Hdmi self adaption in TV settings. That worked for me.

Still get the odd hiccup though.

I can't believe it was such a 'simple' solution!! I was never going to find that on my own!

Thank you!

for anyone else with this problem of Netflix movies/ series not resuming from part way through and not able to fast-forward:
1. open the Android TV settings (cog at the bottom of the screen)
2. go down the list and open TV Settings
3. open Playback setting
4. Disable HDMI self adaption

I think that’s why I dumped the LIT box. We watch a ton of Netflix . The missus basically lives of binging. And to have to do all the tweaks just to get it to work reasonably well was just a pain

Hi Guys - sorry for being lazy here - I dont wanna read thru 128 pages...

Can someone please post the link where I can download Terrarium TV Premium apk

Had to try a few different versions before I found one that worked. Going to have to repeat for my Son's box the weekend.

Update:

Installed the latest update, YouTube started freezing as soon as I played a video. Uninstalled the app, reinstalled ans still no luck.
Rolled it back to oldest update and playing perfectly.

Update
Get Aptoide TV (alternative to Play store), search for Youtube, select and install "Smart Youtube TV" - works 100% like the actual Youtube app but does not have all the issues. Much better!

Can't seem to find any of the browsers on the official playstore. Chrome, Firefox, Opera - nothing????

Using aptoide for now.

Chrome isn't available on any Android TV device (that's a Google thing - not a LIT box thing)

There are definitely browsers though
