Telkom LIT Android media box - Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

Is it just me, or is the normal youtube app freaking out a little? Meaning, videos play normal again, but double pressing the back button, old way of exiting the app, does not work anymore. Also after going back to the home screen, it "pops" up now and then, not really sure how to describe it. Actually the smart youtube app, something like that, now does not exit video with double press off back button, it restarts the video after one back press:X3:

Have you tried hard reset? If i am not mistaken, somewhere on the box is a needle size pinhole, where the hard reset button is located. I also see after the update, when in standby mode, the red lights flicker red/blue and blue lights flicker now more when accessing network, more than on the old 7.1.2 build

I have same problem with red light staying on. not doing anything for the last few hours after doing the upgrade. can

Yes have tried doing the hard reset and still nothing happening.
 
Diesanyone know how to do the hard reset. I have tried different ways of reseting from the box. please help.

I keep getting a message that an update is available on my Telkom LIT TV Box. I click the update/install button and the box is restarted. When restarting, it briefly says installing update but then shows picture of Android with a red exclamation sign and a plain "Error" message like some of the guys here got. This happened about 4 times already

Anyone managed to update their Telkom LIT TV Box after continuously getting this error?
 
Hi. I have A11 series. Firmware version 7.2.3.
Can anyone advise how i can get the latest version ?
My box says up to date.

You cannot yet get the upgrade. If you have read the previous posts, you would be aware that only A07 serial number boxes are getting the upgrade at present, other serial numbers will get upgraded later.

Casting wasn't available on both my boxes, old and new firmware. Had to restart my router to get the casting to work again.

I have an SD card but I set it up so that it becomes internal storage instead of removable storage. When I converted back the SD card to removable storage and than installed the update, it seems that the red exclamation disappeared and the update is now installing. So for anyone who is having the same problem, this might be the cause

Ahhh I thought so too. My sd card is merged with main drive. I can see the update file in the Update folder. Quite possible that the physical file is on the sd card but since they appear merged one dont know for sure.

The update was successful after that. The only downside to this update is that it erases everything and you gotta install everything from scratch
 
Keep getting "check failed! Check your ota service argent" when I try to update? :unsure:
 
The update will fail, if you have no or very little internal space left. Like with mos OS updates, it needs x amount of free space. Not sure if that is the cause here, but Telkom should be notified, as that doesnt sound right that so many people are experiencing the same issues
