It's pretty basic but then so are Roku abd Apple TV remotes and those are all that's needed to get the job done IMO.

true - gets the job done, but it looks like it belongs on a baby monitor or portable aircon or something hideous like that.

dont really need one and i think its a paper weight now so my highest offer is R50, will wait for the auction on wednesday like you suggested.

Thats what happens when you dont pay your TV license, the government cant afford to pay netflix anymore.

No need for insults, You put up an Ad for R800 and you said its negotiable, i put in my highest offer and you refused, so lets leave it.
You get a remote with it! It's not like the older Chromecast like you remember, it's a fully fledged Google (Android) TV device.
It's plasticy, but after 6 months of being dropped and abused, still like brand new and functions without hitch.
Also, Google sell the remotes separately of you need to replace them.

No official Android TV is going to have Chrome (by choice, actually). They're media consumption devices, so you can rule out both.
You can download a 3rd party in the store, but unsure how good that is
Neither has a build in browser.
The difference between the two are basically the maverick has a slightly better cpu, has USB 3.0 and the ethernet port is 1000. The ematic has an SD port which the maverick doesn't have. Both have 2 USB ports but ematic is USB 2. While the maverick is one x USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0. Ematic's ethernet is only 100
