Works ok. Every once in a while there's buffer issues and the stream might restart and a screen needs to be reloaded because it stopped loading etc.
But all in all decent enough from a 720p+stereo perspective.

Edit: the issues is general, as in for all devices.

Edit 2: if the buffer circle start, I check the time just incase it restart

Hi guys. I need a new remote for my lit box. My brother has a mi box and I tried registering his remote on my box but it wouldn't work. I assume they coded differently. Will this ematic work? The first one is off nology but they out of stock. Second one is on takealot it says ematic replacement remote but will it be the same as the one from nology?

My telefunken tv remote works on my LIT box, figured that out by letting my 2 year old chew on the tv remote while i was watching something, he was controlling the menu options with the Telefunken tv remote #NoBS!

i had to google that one, i dont ever remember activating those options so everything was maybe enabled as default

but yes, this is cheaper than buying a remote (if your tv can do it) my telefunken is yonks old already, its really basic, dude might be lucky

OK...for those still trying to get Netflix to work on your LIT Box, here is a solution...

1. Install Sideload Launcher from the Play Store.... this is to see and run Apps that do not appear under usual App list...that's where you will find Netflix...
2. Download "Netflix ver.6.26.1 build 1531696" APK file and copy to flashdrive... Install using File Manager ... I used this one... https://mobile.softpedia.com/apk/netflix/6.26.1+build+15+31696/ OR https://apk.cafe/download?file_id=1061201/netflix
3. This version of Netflix "requires a mouse" so, you can either Install Zank Remote from the Google Play Store on your LIT Box and Phone...uses your WiFi to control your TV Box... OR, get one of these Android Keyboard/Touchpads... (P.S. - To scroll Left and Right, Hold the Fn key and move finger L & R on Touchpad)

Optional :

1. If you want (or have the time to), you can Download and Install AptoideTV.apk (a kinda Play Store for Apps for SmartTVs and TV Boxes) from "https://tv.aptoide.com/howtoinstall.html" ... and Try later versions of Netflix that Specifically says you "Require a Mouse" (Rated 3.5), but, these seem to be more phone/Tablet orientated...But you may like or prefer these... The Other Netflix (Rated 2.9) that appears/is listed, IS the Actual version(s) we had on the LIT Boxes that comes up with the connection ERROR...

This, incidentally, is how I got my LIT Boxes to work, but, at the time, any of the later version that appears under the OTHER VERSIONS Tab, would install and work up until you chose to play a vid, then it would have sound but no picture (grey screen)... The working version above, was older than those under "Other Versions" and appeared on the first screen... Yesterday when I tried the Updated version 8.32.1 build 34 50247 it worked, but, some screens appeared to be in Portrait mode and narrow, so I switched back to version 6.26.1 (above)... The other earlier versions seemed to not want to download...hangs on zero percent forever....
Initially, I just tried every version till I found one that works well enough...

The good thing with this version is, it allows you to download movies/TV Series and watch while Offline...

I haven't used the Litbox since about 2020 since I had no real need to, and came to the Litbox thread on MyBB just to catchup as I want to use it again, and have noted that some updates were pushed recently which disables Netflix etc.

While I'm not really concerned about Netflix, can anyone please explain what else has changed? Do the boxes remain Google Certified?
Will there be future updates for the boxes?
Is Kodi disabled as well?

I have still not switched it on so the latest update has not installed yet.

All I want to do is use it for F1 TV App every race weekend.

If it helps, my gran uses Kodi to watch ZeeTV/Sony and other indian channels. It works well as can be. We switch to Zee5 app aswell and works great.

I can't see it getting uncertified from google? As for future updates, i would love to know.

The update gives security updates, removed Netflix which no longer works, as Telkom did not renew the deal they had with Netflix.

I regard it as end of life, as far as updates go. But am going to use it for projector duty at the church. That is I want to be able to cast all projection material to the LIT box, instead of using numerous different wires from different devices. So in effect, make projection, work via Wi-Fi.

So you should be good with the F1 app.

The LIT will not be receiving any further updates.
The unit is still Google certified, but as mentioned Netflix no longer works.

I use Netflix in Kodi with the Lit. Works really well (as far as Kodi add-ons go).

Everything else still work as it did before and it's still more stable than the Mibox S (IMO).

I can't even get RetroArch running on this box. Anybody managed to install it? Or any other emulator?
