Btw, did they also ask you stupid questions? I got asked for the account number of my FNB Namibia account? Wtf...
They continued to ask questions I couldn't answer, was very odd to say the least.

It's to verify your XDS credit bureau profile so they can get a credit score. They asked the same questions in store, "where do you have a clothing account (I don't)". So just answer I don't have one.

I guess you have never signed up for the free yearly credit reports on yourself? Cause online they ask the same to verify your identity.
 
I don't have accounts/debt so don't care about my credit report to be honest. So this was odd and new to me.

Bet you will care if they reject your application because you don't qualify, hope they don't. My Telkom landline account is one way how I built my good credit profile.
 
Has anyone been shaped for streaming/ using non downloading protocols? (using a vpn to download)?

True, if so, then they can keep their contract, I'll look elsewhere for month to month.
 
FINALLY got approved for my LTE Uncapped! After weeks of struggling with address and then they claimed "credit vetting" which was absolute rubbish as NO credit vetting was done and I didn't even send them my payslip or bank statements so there was no way they could have done a credit vet.

Went with Homecloud and they send my info through with my credit vetting info and boom...sorted.

Anyone knows what the penalties are to cancel the 24month lte uncapped contract?
 
Hi everyone, im also looking at this deal. Do i just phone up telkom to cancel my ADSL as soon as I have this setup? Or is there a 30 day notice with ADSL cancellations?

EDIT : Does news servers fall under FUP? Anyone tested this?

start cancellation as soon as you rica'd and happy
I think there waiting period (keep calling and get confirmation that process started)
Yes news fall under fup
