Telkom contacted me on monday and i signed up over the phone, they said a debit order would go off within 48 hours and then within 5 to working days the stuff would be delivered, however no debit order has gone off yet

i phoned 081180 this morning and they cant find anything on their system, they say they are on a different system than the sales guys.

Anyone know who i can call or email directly to find out whats going on?

Wouldnt trust that company as they don't have HTTPS on their website

They don't ask for personal details online. They send a rep to you at work or homes and fill the application for you and send it off. I also contacted them for a second deal but decided I do not need one so just left it but they are pretty awesome service wise when it comes to new signup or additional signup.

Guys, im using HomeCloud they are a Reseller of Telkom

http://homecloudsolutions.co.za/product/uncapped-lte-internet-promo/

They Have the same deal for R 799 and I have sent in my applications ect ect yesterday and got smses this morning from telkom saying that they are busy processing my application and will notify if its successful or not.

Im quite amazed. Telkom shot me down because of "there is not enough ports open in your area" pfftt I CALL B$^^**$

Regards,
Faz

I'm giving them a bash. Nothing TOO personal except address is on the non-secure website. I'm desperate :D

Keep persisting chaps ! It's sooooo worth it !! Brilliant speeds, no buffering, no frustration, and you can use multiple devices without any knock-on effect ...... I am beyond happy with the reseller I used, delivery within 3 days of my order and the speeds that I am getting ! Already used 90GB since Wednesday and all going strong !

Better to go to a Telkom shop in my opinion, if possible, after my ordeal in trying to get the 5GB for R99 deal in March, despite ordering online on the 3 of March and getting a call a week later.

Got the 10+5 for R199 deal immediately when I went to the store this month.

But at night though:

This is from my BF's Uncapped LTE.

I'm so scared it gets worse in 24 months >.<

Mine's been very consistent. I've had about 8 or 9 evenings in the last 3 months where performance degraded after 6pm but generally it is solid. Couldn't be happier. The 24 month buy in, is really the only draw back with this product. Definitely an element of risk.

Stability is fine....just the speed that drops.

I don't like the 24 month contract at all.

Mine is also very consistent.... with no ups or downs, or "peak time" issues at all.

I usually don't like contracts personally, but I don't mind the 24 month contract at this price as it can move with me and I will always need internet at home for streaming TV, etc. :whistling:

But what is the cap on this uncapped LTE package?
There must be a fair usage policy in place at some point.

Hopefully someone calls me this week so that I know if my internet is sorted or if I should panic.

I have to work from home sometimes so it's quite important to have internet

I entered my details online with Telkom and got an email that my application was successful, and they will contact me, hopefully it's smooth sailing.
I'm also against contracts but this deal is good...

So I finally got my application sent in with all my documents. Homecloud seems to be the way. Thanks Faziki!

Now I'm waiting for approval and delivery.

Had a look to see if my area is covered at the start of the month. It wasn't. I enquired with Telkom about coverage, and they told me my query is being attended to. Had a look again over the weekend and noticed it is sold out. How much fun.

Telkom called me at 9am, and did the application over the phone. Now they will do credit checks and get back to me in 48 hours, hope it's trouble free

Got over 70mbps at one point, average around 40mbps. Happy camper over here. Let's hope the service remains stable over the entire 2 year contract.

I gave up on getting a call from Telkom, so I went to the Telkom store and got it sorted immediately. They will need a proof of address, 3 months' bank statements, and your ID.
