Hi, anyone else also struggling with Telkom lte or mobile Internet being slow again? Mine very slow, especially with midnight data. Seems never to end or improve and telkom either takes too long to fix or never.

Yup. Seems to be some issue, turning on Cloudflare Warp fixes it.

Where are you based?
I'm on the net, watching DSTv streaming.
No speed issues.

I'm in welkom. My speed test show only up to 2mb on lte
Which band are you connected to?
Have you tried B40 (2300Mhz)?

Also. Speed tests mean squat really.
Each server, site, service and download may differ in speed.
Everything can influence it.
Your location, their location.
Amount of users. Capacity, and the list goes on.

If you rely on speed tests to give you an indication of your internet experience then you will get an incorrect perception.

Speed tests are an idea of how your connection 'bursts' at any given time.
Yes, time of day matters too.
Speed tests will differ based on time of day, due to all the reasons I gave above.

I'm using a Samsung galaxy note 10, unfortunately. Not sure if I have access to those settings?

Check my edit above as well.

You probably can't change the band on it. Not which I know of.

The only other solution I can give is for you to purchase a proper LTE Router.
Hotspots won't give the performance you need.

Sounds like certain areas or pockets are fine or great and the rest is not great?

So a VPN makes a big difference in the speed?
Depends which VPN.
You need to test a few to get one that works for you.
VPNs have overhead. So in essence it slows down the connection a bit due to encryption being used.
It should theoretically increase your download speeds if you are throttled. If it doesn't, then the ISP is throttling VPN traffic.
