Can you please make available the homeoffice 20 gb available without the router on a month to month contract at less than R500 per month - i want this package but already have my router as I was lucky enough to have been one of the testers during the trails.

You do know that you can use any data bundle for LTE i.e. get the 2+1 Gig, or the 60+60
Get a prepaid SIM, load the airtime, buy the bundle, and off you go.

I know that but are looking for cheaper recurring deals like 25gb + 25gb per month for R499 per month. I want a big amount of data but cheaper than 999 for 25gb + 25gb or 1800 for 60+60. The later two examples are valid for.6 and 12 months respectively where the option I want must allow for unused data transfer for 1 additional month only. The LTE contract is 499 for 10gb per month which is R200 per month more than the cost without a modem. We unfortunately do not have a 20gb or bigger without the subsidized router options.

Of course this isn't good enough for live streaming content off iTunes. Yesterday I live streamed a few movies and everything was peachy. Today this. And the above result is after a reboot with a fresh connection to the tower. Simply appalling. I'm sure the LTE equipment on the tower is faulty...

I don't like to put a competitor result into a TM thread but maybe this will get someone's attention:
MTN's LTE speedtests are beautiful and smooth, day in and day out. This is unlike the very choppy results I mostly get from TM. (Just look at the traffic graphs from all my speedtests) Again a reminder this is without the expensive antennas I have mounted for TM LTE.

We would like to be of assistance with regards to your posts, but, are unable to as you fall outside our LTE coverage map.
We have also been advised to request that you not activate LTE and/or cancel if you have as we cannot support you from a network perspective.

What a sad reply. I've just lost all respect for Telkom Mobile. Your signal map, however generated, is out of date and/or incorrect. I've already done 50GB on LTE and spent R2500. Mostly with model LTE connection speeds ie. great downloads, stellar uploads and < 30ms pings. I've profiled LTE for TM and MTN from the North to the West with 520 collective Speedtests so I know what I should expect from LTE.
Using a template response that I am outside of coverage is pretty poor. Receiving a call to stop using the service is even worse. Judging by this thread, I am the only customer on mybb to be using LTE. Are you sure you don't want to continue making money out of me?
P.S I saw the TM demos at RAGE and the mybb conference. No-one is getting those speeds. TM is going to make their money from people like me, not people who live 100m from the tower but are quite content to pay only R197pm uncapped ADSL from Afrihost.

You will have to cancel my SIM in order to get rid of me.
I guess I will be paying for that Poynting callout after all to improve my speeds further, it's kinda what antennas are made for. Unlike some customers that won't pay a dime and will demand TM to install booster equipment, I will pay. I'm not about getting everything for free.

i'm being told to wait until month end for better performance/speeds, they are busy doing a maintenance on Telkom Mobile LTE.

I shall be testing that with Battlefield 4 then on Friday.....
I am using the 50gb LTE contract from TM with the Huawai B593 router.

Yip. I moved 2 months ago (3km from my previous address) and was notified by Telkom that I can't transfer my 10mb ADSL line as there is no lines even though there is a box outside the complex and an exchange in the area. So I am became desperate for internet.....and the 500mb -1gb bundles here and there was not working for me anymore.

Why the tower is faulty...there is no congestion:
At 4:23am I am guaranteed to be the only LTE user and there should be very few 3G users.
My connection is completely useless; for Apple TV and any other type of HD streaming. More and more I'm having to use MTN on which I get better results at every turn. Note I'm also "out of coverage" for MTN.

So maybe I'm just misinformed but isn't -51dB stellar? Yet all I get is a measly 8Mbps. I guess the 42Mbps HSPA zone I'm in (yes, I'm in the zone hallelujah!) ain't working too good y'all?
@TM: so if I'm now in the zone, will you guys assist to increase my speeds? I mean 5 bars and -51dB has to count for the best 3G experience possible, surely?

Why not force the router to use LTE only?
That is the mode it's been on since Day 1.
Well the past few hours the 3G performance has been really sub par despite the confirmed HSPA+ status:
Even the erratic LTE service would be better so I reverted back to LTE Only. And look:
I'll repeat the exercise when my speeds start to suck again but it seems by switching between 3G and LTE fixes my speeds on LTE.

Now just WTF is going on now?
Pity I'm rather crippled without being able to upload. I'm seriously getting confused about my LTE service now. I do have a new theory that needs to be explored: the Huawei WS322 repeaters I'm using are wreaking havoc on the routing on my network. Still doesn't explain the upload though.
It's a pity TM won't work with me. I'm telling you the LTE equipment they have on the MTN base station at Laerskool Helderkruin is messed up.
Now just WTF is going on now?
