Telkom mobile network down

Telkom users are reporting that they are unable to connect to the operator’s network or use the Internet.

The Telkom Downdetector page showed a huge increase in reports since around 11:00.

The problems appeared to be affecting mobile users in particular, with complaints from urban areas – including Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, and Cape Town – being the most prevalent.
 
These problems started a few days ago with mobile data connectivity. Whatsapp messages would not come through. As soon as i connect to wifi all is well.
 
Not really had issues here in Parys until this morning, now there is basically no data connectivity.
 
Dead in CPT , incoming and outgoing calls, Full network signal displayed.
 
Can't make calls. I'm Vodacom calling someone in KZN call not going through.....
 
Using a Telkom sim in a router - it is connected but VERY slow! This is in Pretoria.
 
This is why Vodacom can charge what they want, the competition is trash. Customer support hanging up on someone is not okay. Vodacom is trash too, just slightly less so.
 
No issues for me in PE. That said, I haven't done a speed test.
 
Unable to make or receive calls as well. Got a mini heart attack and thought my sim card got cloned or something.
 
Dual sim phone with both Telkom sims. First one was ported from vodacom about a year ago and second on directly from Telkom. Sim 1 can't connect to data while sim 2 is fine with LTE connected.
 
Dead by me as well. Stellenbosch. Landline and mobile. :mad:
