Anyone else in Pta North (or the rest of Pretoria for that matter) having issues with Telkom?
My fixed LTE at home and my Telkom mobile sim in my phone are near useless. It's gotten to the point where I switched off my data sim and loaded a data bundle on to my Cell C sim (dual sim phone). Was still mostly fine on and just before the 1st Jan.
Down from the 20 - 40 mbps I would get usually.
Are these values within acceptable "good" limits? Signal indicator shows full 5 bars

I was told the same thing, and when I said I did, I was told to do a factory reset. I'm thinking I don't really want to do that, because the setup and ports and stuff I need is a right ball-ache to do over. (okay, it isn't but I'm lazy). Thing is, I doubt it would make much of a difference, I'd only really be making extra work for myself.Nope, you are not alone. Last 4 days my speed avg is about 3mbps. I tried to contact Telkom but the support was no help at all and said I need to reboot and wait 30 minutes. There must be some sort of problem with the tower?

So that settles it then, thanks.I did a factory reset (not much to setup) and it did nothing. So I have no idea how to get Telkom to check the towers.
Knowing Telkom it can take a few days up to a few weeks. Ordered a Rain 4G sim to see how their 4G is compared to Telkom's. If it is any good I am going to scale down the Telkom to only use between 6 -11 pm.They called me back on Saturday morning, much to my surprise. After a long conversation and much back and forth, the lady at the call centre logged a fault and I have my reference number, so I guess now we wait.
Not yet, but they did call again this morning and said they will be dispatching someone have a look at the towers in the area.@SykomantiS Any improvement in speed on your side?
