I have a billion 400g router from telkom.
I want to change the ISP username details towards the end of the month when my cap runs out, but it appears to be locked. I am not able to change the set-up to the new ISP username & password. When you type it in and click apply, it just defaults straight back to the Telkom username again. I have tried resetting to factory defaults which hasn't helped.
Can anybody help me?

Telkom does not "lock" its modems. By law (in this country) no provider may "lock" their modems.

Is this the same "law" that says mobile operators cannot network lock their cellphones?

ok, so any idea why when I try to put in new ISP usernames & password it doesn't save it?

Yes.

OP, dial the connection from the PC and hope the modem will pass the connection through (it should)

Yes. It is disregarded by non-ICASA approved imported handsets...

I've always wanted to see this law, or rather the act, that so many people refer to.

open internet explorer or other browser.

Type 10.0.0.2 in url

Username/password should be admin/admin unless someone changed it!
