After two and a half weeks were I can't even open Google, I finally got a response from Telkom. The issue is network congestion.

My line's sync stats:

ADSL
Type: Fast Path
Status: Show Time
Downstream Upstream
Data Rate (kbps): 4096 512
Noise Margin (dB): 13.5 12.0
Attenuation (dB): 45.6 23.5
Output power (dbm): 16.3 5.5

The exchange can handle 32MB. Someone's pushing 27MB out and 7MB in. They're refusing to disconnect this (ab)user, because he/she's paying for a service. However, what about the other 20, 50, 100 users that are not getting the service they're paying for?

thats probably a business user who have bonded lines. telkom is getting the moola so they won't complain.they will lose out if they give it to residential ppl who will use it for 384k or 1meg lines.

Thing is, I have 4MB line at home. I spend over R1000 p/m for line and uncapped ADSL. I use it 95% for business. Client support, etc. after hours.

Their bonded line user, is killing my business.

Easy - Telkom needs to upgrade your exchange, or give your money back.

They're focussing on trying routing and solving the congestion at this moment. Telkom, give back money? I have a better chance of falling pregnant. (I'm male, last time I checked).

neotel fiber is only option then.

I've had bad experience with Neotel in the past as well.

Received phone call from Telkom this morning, stating that they've done routing on my line, to allow me to have some sort of Internet. Get home, it doesn't work.

I need residents in Centurion that connect to the Rooihuiskraal 3 exchange that are experiencing the same problem to please contact me.

I'm sick of being shunted around by Telkom. A petition or a class action suit should get the message across.
