I no longer get the 450GB for R59. The only one left on my option is 100GB night surfer for R149. I think that one is available to everyone.
 
Just checked and I still get it plus some other nice ones :)

Does anybody know if the 100GB option gets throttled between midnight and 1AM? Every single day I consistently get lousy speeds for that entire hour. Browsing sucks. Torrenting sucks. It takes me almost a minute just to download a 1MB wallpaper from Alphacoders. Then after 1AM download speed increases significantly.

I have the same thing with the 450Gb, Its not just between 12 & 1 it varies, solution for me is just turn the sim of for a second then back on and its sorted, sometimes it takes more than 1 try.
 
Okay, will try that. Just a very annoying issue. Will also test it on my sister's sim and see how things go.
 
Downloading from filesharing hosts have been slow recenty as if they've been throttled while streaming has been working fine.
 
Okay, so using my sister's sim (24 month Telkom contract) download speeds were fine between 12 and 1am. Switching to my sim (Night Data 100GB) and speeds slowed down significantly.
The test torrent I used maxed at about 800Kib/s on my sister's sim but barely reached 180Kib/s on mine. Then I decided to let it run past 1am and, as expected, the download speed shot up at 1:02am till it stabilized between 750Kib/s and 820Kib/s.
Browsing was also significantly faster from 1am onwards. This pattern repeats itself every day like clockwork on my end. It's really frustrating.
Hoping someone with the same bundle loaded can test this as well...

I've tested it an encoutered the following, the speeds are definitely slower than the normal prepaid LTE. I think that they must be throttling certain users, throttling kicks in on at around 5:00am and again at 6:00am to even slower speeds.
I tested another telkom sim at the same time using the normal prepaid LTE data and speeds are much faster.
 
Any chance that MyBroadband can ask Telkom about this throttling issue directly?
 
My Telkom night data has now joined the slow lane. Last week I was getting speeds above 100Mbps most of the day, and up to 130Mbps after midnight. This week from 12-1am it drops to 2Mbps, then from 1am it's 8Mbps.

At those speeds Rain is better value.

Not sure about what the speeds will be though, looking at some of the post here.

The 100gb for R150 is becoming borderline useless to me now. I honestly don't know what has been going on the past two days. Browsing most international sites is barely possible anymore. Sites just stop loading. Before 1AM my download speed averages 2.46 Mbps and after 1AM is increases to about 10 Mbps. Pathetic. The strange this is torrenting seems unaffected...

This is strange as ****. I checked it out and torrent speeds are great, while downloading from filehosters are extremely slow. I never thought that I'd ever have to go back to using torrents.

It does seem to be limited to 3Mbps before 1am and then 10Mbps from 1-7am.
 
Yeah alot of people are facing this same issue where download speeds pick up after 1 am even on my side
 
I bought this 100Gb Night Surfer yesterday to download PS4 games and the internet speed is horrific! The speed was always under 1mbps. Sometimes 0.4Mbps.

To test, I swopped out my simcards in the router and the ones without the 100Gb N.S. all got speeds above 7Mbps. I kept downloading since I have to use up the data.

This morning at 07:03, the speed suddenly boosted to 7mbps. So its not the router, it’s Telkom.
