Telkom = no service
I actually wish there was a selection where you could rate with minuses.
One of the biggest mistakes I ever made is deciding to migrating from Afrihost to Telkom as my ISP. Main reason was Telkom had a better offer. After phoning and confirming there were infrastructure for a 20mg/s line and ordering their 20mg/s offer with all the perks and extras NOTHING!!! This was now already on the 4tg of Aug 2018. After I followed up guess what, no port was available, they did not inform me but did charge me for something I did not receive. Being nice about it I the opted for the 10mg/s option, again with extra perks etc I NEVER RECIEVED. They suspended my line at the time due to non-payment for something I did not have. After a huge discussion they gave me a 4mg/s line until the 10mg was sorted, again charging me pro-rata. After I again phonef to find out when a technician would make his appearance I was advised the order for the 10mg was cancelled, not the charged though, again another order, again charged pro-rata, again no technician, again NOTHING except now for the so-called 4mg line on an ancient modem. Again suspension on my line due to non-payment. Firstly I was charged continuously for something I did not receive and secondly when I started goung through my invoices I realised Telkom was charging me R148+ a month for 48Gb softcap THIS NOW WHILE AFRIHOST WAS MY ISP...how do they explain or credit this?...while like the rest of the story the just DON'T!!!
My line is again suspended, on 2 occasions they tried to debit my bank account with obscene amounts, they tell me I paid the last time at the end of July, beginning of August 2018, I know that because I am not an idiot, my question is what must I pay for as if I look at my Self Service portal the order and re-ordering are a mess(luckily I took screenshots since the whole ordeal started), the amount they say I owe really makes no sense at all, they are talking out of two mouths, with my calculations I should be in credit, not only for the money I paid for the 48Gb for at least 3 years, but for my time following up and trying to get this resolved to no avail (luckily I have screenshots of all that communication as well) and time spend on the phone trying to get this sorted. 5 months later and still NOTHING. I have an eldery mother and father, my father being very sick, they depend on the landline and I am not home during the day...who will take resposibility if something happens and they can't phone... Telkom? I need the internet for research...who are going to reimburse me for the data I had to buy...Telkom? I really hope nobody believes their ad's and promises on excellent services delivery... It is an absolute lie!!! The part that irrates me the most is Telkom having the monopoly in the market. It is an utter joke and disgrace. So 5 months have passed and all Telkom has given me is a headache.
