I have a problem with the Telkom app(The one that you use to che k your balances) ,every time I use it it forces me to sign in first( e mail address and paseword) , it is a pain in the @&&$. Is this normal?

Sorry but telkom app is pointless and really does not work well at all rather go to their website.

If you use it at end of month, it normally doesn't work, cos they get absolutely hammered.

Mind is working just fine now. ;)

Do you have to sign in every time ,I have too and it is like that since I got my phone.:mad:
 
Any reason for signing in, I made a very basic app using their service and it works without signing in.

Please note the application Telkom Mobile App must be fully downloaded on the device in order for you to have full access.

If the application is not downloaded and is accessed through website via device, it will prompt you to login with your login details every time.

Kindly advise if the application was downloaded before and you are accessing from the actual application not the website.

Thanks for reply. Will visit Telkom store this weekend.
 
:mad:Sadly my visit to Telkom store did not help at all. After more than a hour of 'assistance' things are now worse.I am completely shut out of my Telkom app and my phone refuses to connect to Telkom wifi. Wil take my phone to the iStore tomorrow.:mad: Yes my phone came with the Telkom app pre installed.

My app isn't working either.

Hi kingrob, I glad to say that this morning my Telkom app is working and after Telkom wifi were not working for three days it is also working. Don't know why the people at rhe Telkom store said that the only cure for my problem is a factory reset? I am glad that I decided to get a second opinion at the iStore. . Seems like it is agod idea not to act too hastily. As I were writing this I got sms from Telkom that I have received 50 free minutes and 75 MB of free data. All is good on the world again.
 
New info my Telkom app only works well when I am on Telkom wifi. When on cellular I have to log in with my gmail adress and password. At least I am not shut out of my App anymore. Does any body have the same problem?

My Telkom app works fine on 3G as well, just tested it.

Glad to hear everything is working again!

I think the loadshedding created havoc with Telkom's systems, so I imagine it might happen again.
