Only option for me is to try a downgrade from the 4Mbps which is R499 (line rental + 20Gig data + weekender) to 2Mbps @R399 . I'm not sure if this R399 option is still available, i'll have to pm TelkomZA regarding this.
You can always get the 25% discount by phoning 10210 and speaking to the options centre and bluff that you will cancel to get the 25% discount.
It would mean that your adsl line is stuck with them for 1 year but they give you are really really good discount for it. It would even be cheaper than what you are paying now after the price increase.
I got the discount 2 times already.![]()
Which number did you call?

Sorry guys. Phone 10210 then you want to press option 4 for options centre then option 3 to downgrade or cancel your broadband service.
Just tell them someone informed you that Telkom is offering a 25% if you commit to a 12month adsl contract with them.
That is it. They will apply the discount for you. This just means that you adsl line has to be with Telkom for 12 months. You are still able to upgrade or downgrade. You do not have to have the ISP option with them to take up the offer. I got it like a week ago for the second time.
Discount is about R140-R160 per month off the R425 on a 10Mbps line.
Thx for info. My month to month contract for 12 months expired Sept 2014, but i am still using it without a problem. So i reckon they'll just put me on another 12 months again?
Yes just tell them you want the 25% discount on the adsl line otherwise you are considering downgrading or cancelling. They will just advise you on the penalties IF you wish to cancel which is just the amount of discounts you have gotten so far which is not big deal anyways. They will activate it for you and give you a order number. Done for the next 12 months you will be getting a 25% discount.....
