So apparently if you want to roam you need to go to a telkom store pay a R2000 deposit atleast 7 days before hand.

I activated international roaming with no deposit paid - just completed the form on their website and faxed it to them - was activated the next day. I'll assume that a deposit is payable based on credit or something along those lines.

It's basically an acknowledgement form you signing.. I have heard of one network asking R20 grand.
