i have called telkom twice in the last week and both times my call was answered in less than 2 min and the problem sorted just as quickly. One was to up my DSL form 512 to 4 MB and the other cause the second jack that i use for my DSL was not working (was a cable fault in the box). the DSL upgrade was done while i was on the phone.

they seem to be doing something right and i am impressed.
 
I have always been very impressed with Telkom's service. I have not had a single problem with them, ever!
 
Over the last few days I've ordered a new telephone line and a 512 ADSL upgrade. I had my own adsl modem and couldn't figure out how to set it all up. Everything went smoothly. Very impressed customer! :)

Telkom treats their customers better than their staff!! :D:D:D
 
Phoned the 10219 number at 14:30 tody, call got picked up in 2 mins :eek: and i spoke to an intelligent operator ... was thinking i had a crossed line with some other firm :D
 
Good news! Well I suppose Neotel is now the new "old" telkom:(
 
also phone them to upgrade from 1g to 2G.

was a bit disappointing that had to get new user-name and passwords.

But, it was just 1 call.
 
Well, I am not a fan of Telkom, and it did take them 7 weeks to install my tel. line, but SO FAR the ADSL part is going smoothly....

During business hours it literally plays that voice recording and then I get answered by a consultants, I NEVER wait-its awesome.

on the flip side, have any of you called between 5-6? I waited +-40 minutes last week! was rediculous :(
 
well telkom people on 10215 are rude but every other department is quite helpful
but they always clueless when their dns or proxy goes wrong have to tell them everytime that it is broken when i have slow internet
 
Well, I've been without ADSL fir 14days now and the only update I get when I phone them is "the tech is busy"...
 
A Telkom Story

Let me tell you a Telkom story.

About two weeks ago, I ordered a line upgrade, from 384kbps to 4mbps. Last week I called to check how they were doing, getting that upgrade done. They said they were busy working on it.

Anyway, a week passes and still no luck getting the upgrade, even when calling them every single day for a status update. Yesterday they call and say it's up when it wasn't.
They'd managed to upgrade the wrong phone line.
They Quickly reversed it and within an hour the correct line was running at a healthy 3.52Mbps.

By the way it's awesome, don't know what I did before, worth the wait.
