Telkom SMSs not working

I have an android. I activated international roaming for sms only. Telkom confirmed it is activated but I can’t get the stupid thing to pick up their carrier here in uae which is Du.

i need my sms to work as I need my otp for banking. I can’t do any banking via fnb without it

it is so annoying. I especially made sure to do it before I left cape town
anyone have any idea how to pick up their carrier….I tried doing it manually as well and it says du4g not available and 3G option

Tried wifi calling instead of SMS only roaming?
