Telkom Speed upgrades

I've just run checkadsl.
My line is showing as 4meg. Its was still showing as 2meg on Friday.
I ran speedtest, but there is no difference yet.
I'm with Mweb though, so I will have to see what their stance is.
 
All i had to do was phone telkom, ask them to reset port, they also sync'd it to 4mb. Turned router back on, showing 4mb and testing at 4mb. Area - newcastle, KZN.
 
Checked Broadbandstats for our exchange.
According to them the exchange is enabled for 10Mbps.
Max speed for our exchange though is 4096kbps.

I am on a 4Mbps/10Mbps Uncapped line with Telkom Internet.
My router shows download stream as 10015kbps, and upload as 1019kbps.

Has anyone with an ISP other than Telkom seen any line speed upgrade?
My line speed is up from 2meg to 4meg, but my ISP has not yet upgraded my data speed.

So most people on the 2Mb lines will be able to call 10210 and ask for a port reset and then your line should sync @ 4096k....

I'm in Port Elizabeth and my line has been updayed to 4 meg, however Mweb hasn't seen fit to advise waht they intend to do. Anyone with an ISP who has speeded up their speed without paying yet more?
 
Connect to an IMAX street box but yet to see 10 Mbps, they just say that they are working on the exchange when you call in. :(

Just been talking to Tech Support at Telkom who advise that whilst I am shown as having a 4 meg connection the new speed will only be put into effect ONCE all upgrades are complete. I'll put in a post to the TelkomZA member on the forum and see what he has to say.
 
Upgraded from 2meg to 4meg in Witbank

Told Telkom that on their website i was on a 4meg and on my router it showed as a 2meg and he did a port reset and i am now on 4meg.
 
Checkadsl is now showing 4Mbps so I Phoned 10210 and asked them to do a port reset and now syncing at 4Mbps. But I'm still on a 2Mbps Afrihost uncapped account.
 
told them the site showed 4mbps but router 2mbps they did there thing and now i am on 4 :D
 
Should I wait for them to sort it out tomorrow? I'm not in a hurry to test drive a 4Mbps line :D

What's your max download speed like now?
 
I feel like an experiment. If it didn't happen by Wednesday, I'll phone and ask them to reset it for me.
