Telkom Speed upgrades

You get full speed but I'm still on the old uncapped package which means lower throttle level. If mine's not update by the end of the month I will call them again. Not to worried right now.

Ponder, you reckon we can stay on a 2mb cap but keep the 4mb speed as I currently have?
 
Yaay! I've been upgraded :D now on 2mbps, also the Telkom staff have gone very friendly :)

I'm with OW and quite happy with them. My line's bumped up to 4M but still using 2M gold account with OW. I'm getting 3.5~3.7M speedtests during the day on a 2M account :) you should pm MrBEEP and ask to give you a free test account to play around with!
 
Does TElkom ISP have trials? This last 5 days of the month I don't want to be stuck on 1Mbps and I already have used trials at Mweb, Axxess and WA

Not as far as I'm aware. try openweb, afrihost & cybersmart.
 
Telkom Call Centre now reckons all exchanges have been updated. All I need to do is restart the router to realise the speed increase.

Trying to do that via TeamViewer (SGS3, CellC, Edge) now :erm:

Does that include all 1 -> 2Mb ?
 
I'm trying to contain myself and wait till I get home to check my line speed. Don't even know why I'm getting excited as I'm on Mweb and see no sign of package adjustments yet, and I'd have to give a month's notice so January it is.

If you're on 1mbps --> 2mbps there is a noticeable difference in speed...well for me :) runs at just over 1mbps

I just read that the cost of uncapped ADSL data increases with speed with the free upgrade. Is that correct or did i miss something lol?
 
Is my Router supposed to show that I'm connected at 2mb/s even though I'm only using 1mb Uncapped? My router shows 1mb/s downstream but when I go to the ADSL Checker on Telkom site it shows that I'm on a 2mb line.
