Telkom Speed Upgrades

I have that exact same router and it kept DC'ing on 40mbps. Ended up getting the standard Pace vdsl router :(

Lol, what upgrade ....

Seriously though, I've been waiting for so long, our area's exchange can't push more than 2Mbps. Who knows when the upgrade will come - if it ever does

My area got upgraded to 10Mbps about a month ago. As far as the advertised upgrades, it's only supposed to happen to existing Telkom Internet clients and only if the exchange allows for it. Lol

I happen to be a Telkom Uncapped Internet Client and with my line stats, you could say I live in the
exchange. My area supports max VDSL at 40mbs so...

What speed are you on and what speed are you expecting to be upgraded to? Secondly which telkom products do you have?

Why is that so ? The article clearly said "The new packages launch on 31st August and existing 'uncapped customers' can expect a speed bump at that time.

For those on 2Mbps you’ll now get an increase to 4Mbps and customers on 4Mbps will get bumped up to 8Mbps or 10Mbps depending on coverage".

Am I not regarded as an Uncapped customer or is there something more that you know that I don't? Please fill me in, thanks.

I went to the Telkom shop and migrated from the Home Uncapped to the UNLIMITEDhome - not sure if that's the only way to do it but it worked and ended up cutting my ADSL bill from R1299 to R799 - used that savings to justify upgrading to 20mb VDSL (R999pm).
