Telkom Speed Upgrades

On the 1 Sept I called Telkom that I want to upgrade from 4mb to 10mb , I got my bill online and all that they done is pro-rata my bill.
No Extra costs involved they invoiced me correctly how it should be.

The 1st of October has passed and still no "free" upgrades :D

Can anybody please tell me how to navigate through these pages. For instance, I'm on Mount Edgecombe ISAM 16. But even though my SNR, attenuation and of course distance to the exchange meets the requirements for a line of probably around 8 Mbps or so, according to the consultant I spoke to, the exchange itself 'doesn't have any 4Mbps ports' and the maximum speed it supports is 2Mbps.

I would really like to know if that specific exchange is at least planned on being upgraded because I've been reading the articles about these upgrades and was wondering what happens if my exchange can't support the speed increases

Will I be stuck with 2Mbps for the rest of my life?

Heard about a few other users complaining about getting throttled after just a few days. Don't think Telkom thought this through as non of the other ISP's have followed with similar packages.

Agreed. Apparently, the data on HomeUnlimited Uncapped packages are unshaped ...
I foresee loads of using swapping over as it's such a good deal and ultimately Telkom isn't going to be able to put up with the demand (well,lol, they appear to be struggling now also) and everyone will start getting shaped/throttled like there's no tomorrow, but we shall see.

Anyway, anyone else got their upgrade yet ? It's been 1 month and 5 days lmao

I didn't receive anything lol, just woke up and checked my router stats and saw it was upgraded.
I've been checking since the news was out that there were gonna be free upgrades.
 
My statement shows im already on homeunlimited. I was on the promo as well for R 599. I’ll check my stats when I’m home but doubt they upgraded me. :( anyone else on the promo that got the upgrade? Or it’s showing that you’re on the homeunlimited?
 
Nope. I was not upgraded to 10Mbps unfortunately. Still on 4Mbps. Anyone else has the upgrade yet?
 
received a call yesterday from an automated Telkom service. Rattled on about upgrades in my area and my line promptly went dead.

Had to wait over 3 hours before service restored. No clue what it is about, everything still looks the same on my connection, even the hated ASSIA is still fiddling with my connection.

According to Telkom's website, my area was upgraded to 10Mbps
