Telkom Uncapped LTE blocking Seedhost?

Escalated to Huawei not for the router on my end but for the Radio Access Network on their end.
The issue has not yet been resolved, so I'm still not 100% convinced its not a block from Telkom's side.

Maybe @Telkom rep can give us their official stance on the use of seedboxes on their uncapped LTE network?

The fact that you've received correspondence from Tebogo @Telkom would suggest to me that they not actively blocking seedboxes.

EDIT: Add to that, that there already a number of uncapped LTE customers currently actively using seedboxes...

Tebogo did get back to me saying Huawei resolved the issue.
I did a quick remote test and I seem to have access again.
I will do some more detailed testing tonight.

I have requested feedback regarding the nature of the problem and the resolution from Huawei's side.

So far I've been impressed with Telkom's action regarding this issue. It has taken a bit longer than I would have liked but if the issue was with an external then that is understandable.

Yeah, would be interesting to get the official party line re Telkom and seedboxes. I doubt they would be openly endorsed but are they prepared to turn a blind eye to their usage? Seems so...

So the block was not Telkom enforced but rather a router software/hardware issue? Odd....

I read between lines that Telkom is using Huawei equipment and query was logged accordingly, not for CPE.

I will do some more detailed testing tonight.

All services seem to be back to normal. Seeing speeds up to 10MB/s from my box.

I spoke to 2 MyBB members:
Telkom (Tebogo) and TelkomZA (Charl)
Between the 2 of them a case was opened and escalated to the Huawei Team.
After an investigation the managed to "correct" whatever "error" was preventing me from accessing my provider.

You should be able to manage something them. Feel free to jack this thread (or start your own) and provide us with some feedback on your progress
