Does anybody know how Telkom VPN Lite works and if it is stable enough ?

Have to admit. It runs pretty stable.
We have been using it now for more than 6months. We had alot of issues in the beginning. The line dropped more than 30 times a day. We discovered it was a router issue. We used the billion800 gvt on both sides. 3weeks ago we exchnaged them to the billion 400g series. Since then in runs like a bomb.

VPN lite without configuring through a router

I have used VPN lite through my billion 800 router for almost a year now. I would like to know if it is possible to setup the VPN lite through the network and sharing center in windows... ie clicking on 'Setup new connection or network' and setting up a VPN connection there instead of on the router.

I have tried it and filled in all my vpn settings but i get an error when trying to connect.

Anyone tried this before?

Hi Tim... you need to put your router on bridge mode or multiple session,then you go to your network and sharing centre and click on Setup new connection or network and click on (Broadband PPPoE) . It will require you to type in your username and password so that's where you type your VPN lite username and password.

Would this work for a server behind a smoothwall connecting to vpnlite and branches?

I've connected my office and home machines using eleNet from elepantvpn.
Much easier to setup and configure...
