Telkom warns against bandwidth theft

*sigh*

I'll send them bogus information if ever asked...

but to alleviate the problem, telkom should bring their prices down and increase their caps, then the problem will go away...

Telkom warns against bandwidth theft

But we have known for a long time now that Telkom has been stealing our bandwidth! Or at least stealing our money that we use to pay for exorbitantly high bandwidth. Same thing.

In this regard, he added, TelkomInternet has introduced the TelkomInternet Online Password Management Tool which enables our customers to securely change both their TelkomInternet account passwords and their e-mail passwords online on a regular basis.

This has been there for a long time.

Typical, claim to have introduced something when its been there all along (Well as long as I have had adsl and thats been 2 years...)

telkom should probably be a little more co-operative in assisting with the prosecution of those stealing bandwidth...and a little more proactive in terms of helping its users to protect against such theft

A bit rich coming from the biggest bandwidth thief in the country.

Surely telkom can track where the login took place? Find out who was using the port on the exchange the time of the account being stolen?

“Those customers who have already released their usernames and passwords ... contact 10215. We are currently investigating the matter,” said White.

That is if the ever answer your call!!!!

This scam is nothing compared to the extortion racket that Steve White and the company he works for run.

A new scam which seeks to rob TelkomInternet’s customers of their bandwidth has come to the attention of Telkom.

Is this when Telkom charges you exorbitant amounts of money for the bandwidth you use? Oh wait, sorry, that's extortion! Never mind then.

Rich coming from the biggest, most callous, legalized corporate thieves that ever existed on earth, milking Africa and the public drier than italready is. They are so successfull that Eskom joined the show and will follow the same modus operandi, all government backed of course.

“We have not sent our customers such a request and, as such, we request that they ignore these emails. TelkomInternet will never request its customers to confirm their usernames and passwords via email,” said White.

I rather think it is Telkom employees giving the information to others for some benefits of course.

It's all about competion.

What competition? Neotel? C'mon they are the new government weapon to defraud the middle and upper class and deny the rest of their basic rights to fair and affordable communication.

Please!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Goodness oh please let me run into this guy someday or at least someone high up in Telkom or DoC !!!!!

FFS!!! the stupidity! or is it the arrogance? Maybe just plain laziness?

This could be resolved so easily man :/ Holy Shyte, I'm definately not the most intelligent being on Earth but hell.

Flip I can get mad !
