TelkomInternet Capped Clients - August 2006

i got 250 megs left. todays the 22nd.now i would take a risk and klap it but my mom is off this week so she needs the net for basic browsing.

does anyone have any clue what will happen if i hit the 2 gig 2nyt and disconnect.then when i wake 2moro? you think il be 'uncapped'.im really scared.

any advice please

Absolutely nothting... most users do at least 5GB before being capped.

someone said earlier i should have a 1 gig backup account prepaid.how do i go about getting that?
and do they charge off credit card or what cauz i dont have one

just got capped at about 9 gigs ... for the last few days I was averaging about 500 meg/day ...

EDIT: of course I cannot even authenticate after being capped, just for the people that have any doubts about the local access etc ... there is NONE!

well ive been doing 500 megs a day for the last 3 days.on this forum most have stated you get capped between 4-6 gigs ? is it possible to go even further

Capped on Friday, 25th after opening the account on the 15th, used 8.4 GB in ten days. Matt, Telkom uses a very sophisticated fear sensor, the higher your reading, the sooner you get capped

Heck, yes, that's what I'm on at the moment, I feel like a real scrooge after splurging for a week! Can't wait for Friday, I'm hoping to get at least 30gb next month

LaBAnimal, the 4.3GB you got capped at is really low for the second account. What was the usage for both those accounts last month.

Just hit 5 Gigs Not capped So that means if im not capped tomorrow im allowed to basically download 10 gigs and Telkom cant do anything ? (tomorrow being the last day of the month )

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but I'm going to say it anyway..

I'm glad you guys get more than your 'cap's' worth and good luck to you for doing so, but this is so ****ing typical of the monopolistic smacktards calling themselves Telscum.. Surely this allowance of running over your cap smacks of unfair business practices on their part when hardcapping is enforced on ISPs?

Anyhoo, not that anything will change, but seeing as my missus will no longer allow me to say 'telkom sucks' at the top of my voice when their ads come on in the cinema, I just thought I'd have a rant...
