rofl@ pupa.. poor guy... um, got a question. Do you know you capped after 24 hour reset? I presume I was capped at 00:00, but I stil had till 16:00 cause thats when I dialled the previous day. That means the 2GB I downloaded was basically while I was capped.... correct?

Telkom cant go at 13:24 you are now capped.. it happens at midnight right, then only comes into affect when you try dial again?

No, they can cap you at any minute. I've got experience. I have 3 telkom accounts and it happens at any time. You sit and browse and next moment you're capped

Telkom are gonna revise the cap soon I am sure. So wont be too stressed.

If telkom is resetting every 24 hours soon you should contact ICASA.

With Telkom, it generally means they'll make it more expensive...

kk, just strange that I was online, downloading and all, I was looking at my connection timer, hit 24hr 00 Hours 00 Minutes 05 Seconds, and got cut (24 hour reset), then trying to redial it just says Invalid Username/Password.

i believe how it works is it doesnt register ur current session until you disconnect. so if you disconnect at 2.99GB and reconnect u can still download 4GB and only get capped when u disconnect in 24hrs

I used 3.1 GIGs yesterday in 2 hours and 25 minutes so I guess if I was with Telkom I would have been capped already

haha 2 1/2 hrs.. shame, they better hope their stats are improved else they gonna sit with a major over-run then again its Telkom Internet and its not clear if they actually charge themselves for bandwidth cost.

Send your complaint to telkom with a copy cc'ed to consumer@icasa.org.za - ICASA came up with the regulations so its up to them to enforce them.

Flood them with complaints.
