I got this mail from telkom internet this morning



Dear subscriber

According to our records your total usage as at [2006-9-16 00:00:01] has reached and exceeded the threshold for the overall service.



Username : xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Uploaded : 4.28GB
Downloaded : 4.64GB
Combined Total : 8.92GB
Service threshold : 2.00GB



Reaching the threshold has resulted in your username being disabled from our network of services until the 1st of next month.



Your actions have resulted in your username being added to our list of high-end users and repeated behavior of this nature could result in an overall blacklisting of services from TelkomInternet.

They have caps for that purpose, you cant abuse something if it has a cap, please. Telkom **** you.

Telkom is sharing available bandwidth between its users FOR its high end users... I think Telkom needs to have a full body exam.
Just my opinion, but this counters what the puropose of caps and relaxed capping is... Sorry

Telkom should just make the CAP a PROPER CAP then.not maybe i can get 8 gigs this month and maybe 4 gigs the next.if they gonna call it a cap make it one.cauz i see the 4 mbit users laughing all the way as they could download sick amounts in a session.

i just hit my 2 gig cap and its the 16th of Sep.i know il probably get to 4 or so.the thing i dont want is to get to 2 gigs one month and BANG im capped.that would piss me off....i dont enjoy such drastic change.rather implement a proper cap now than have EVERYONE screaming later

For the people who are complaining about other people getting 10GB and more,would you be complaining if you were getting 10Gb and more?? also if you had a 4mb line?

I do feel for you guys but don't say that telkom must review their cap issue just because you not getting what you were expecting.Be happy with what you got

I was wondering if you guys can help me. I got my account on Saturday and i have not dowloaded a dam thing. They now say i have used 2.2 gigs already. How can this be. I have not watched videos, live audio, or even dowloaded any programs or files.
I have telkom 312 speed, with cybersmart 3gig for R125.
What do i do.

Your account details might have been stolen, report it to Telkom and change your password, also make sure your router password has been changed from the default admin admin or watever it is depending on router brand.

I am two accounts down, 2 to go. 8.9 on my first 3gb, 11 and some change on my first (free) 2gb. About 5gb left.

Got capped last month 2 days before the new month started. 7.89 Gigs ona 2gig account... When I phoned to find out about the 30Gig local sufing I was told it wasnt implemented.

Is that true? Whom must I contact to activate this? Or do I need to find some sort of a proxy?
