I'm capped. DAMMIT. 5Gig on 384 line. Last month (Aug) I did 6.4Gig.

What I can't understand, when I had my 192 I always did 10Gig every month. Since my "upgrade" I can't pass 6Gig.

If Telkom keeps on capping me at 6Gig, I'm cancelling my account. Its not worth the R270 I spend for 6G. Rather get 2 Cybersmart accounts for R240 for 6Gig.

I hate Telkom with a passion.

I get more usually, but you use alot fast, maybe has something to do with it?

Last month I download like a deamon . Got capped at 6.4 Gig.

This month , I took it slow, like a how a woman would love it , 600meg per session on average. But got capped at less than 6.

But now I can't get passed 6Gig since the upgrade. Screw the upgrade.. I would rather have 192 and 10G , as 384 and 6G.

Any case.. what is the use of having 4Meg line if you have a 3Gig cap? Hell.. buying more bandwith will cost you an arm and a leg .

Sorry.. I'm just peeved.

you think its coincidence that people (mostly on the slower lines it seems) are struggling to get 6gigs on a telkom account? I think not....

ok, my 3rd account is capped. at least i got more on this last one than the other two 12.6gb. Only problem is that it is only the 12th of the month

what do you use it for? I am still on my first account, and only done 4.5GB.

Now.. tell me.. there is a new addon for Farcry.. 660Meg. There shouldn't be a limit (ok maybe very cheap R1 for Gig) on your downloads.

If you wanna pir8.. , you do it, but I want to download lots of stuff (like the prev mention example). Now I have to pay again to download 660Meg . After I payed R245 + ISP (TelkomISP) (R270) ......

I totally understand what you mean, Steam took 1GB of my cap yesterday downloads trailer 1 - 6 of Half Life Episode 2... when Ep2 comes out in Nov I need to download that via Steam aswell. Since retail gets it like 5 days later

I totally understand todays need for more bandwidth, but given what you have now been granted by Telkom. You have 3x TelkomInternet accounts, so unless you can afford another you shouldve slowed down with accound #3.

I am gonna fall back onto a WebAfrica 1GB account when both my TelkomInternet accounts are capped. I use to have a 4Mbit connection Uncapped in the states 5 years ago. I feel the stress of having to keep watching bandwidth with Telkom.

Bascially what I was trying to say, maybe since you are with Telkom try space out your downloads. Until another option is available or you move overseas.

I'm not on telkom internet, but I'm sure there are a few people cursing you for draining the community pool. This might be Telkom's strategy to promote infighting between customers so they forget about the *real* villian...

you realise one other thing.. telkom can tell that account 1, and account 2 and account 3 are all used on your dslam port, therefore they could include all that in their calculations

yea they prob. could - however i've been doing this for some time, towards the end of the month they always let you download lots again - time and time again

I doubt they would factor that into the calculation. If there is a family sharing a DSL line with seperate accounts, the other person shouldnt be discredited because the other member used more on his/her account.

ISP accounts are treated seperatly to DSL lines.
