10210 informs "We are experiencing major network problems"

I called 10210 a few minutes ago to be greeted with "We are experiencing major network problems which may affect your service"

Can anyone shed some light on this?

My line in Malvern East just went down. Huge lagspike, then nothing. No answer at the call centre - according to the voice message, they're closed.

Ok, you win!! I give up!!
If your plan all along was to be useless and hope that I would eventually give up, you succeeded!!
The problem is still not fixed, the so called specialist never showed up, and I will take a guess that he never will.
I am going to start looking for alternative solutions because there is just no hope for Telkom, you are and always will be useless.
PS. Good luck with your plan for Broadband penetration, especially if you cant even fix what you already have!!

What alternatives are there?

Wireless or are you looking the mobile data route?

So for the past week or so, I've had various issues: firstly, the other night the connection just died. All lights on, but no-one was home. So that sorted itself out a few hours later in the morning. Secondly, my line doesn't sync at its regular speed anymore. I'm on a 10Mbps line (the Telkom upgrade from 4Mbps), but I got them to set it to a lower speed because I'd never get it to run that fast anyway (live too far from the exchange) and it kept disconnecting. So it's set to 6Mbps and I usually sync at about 5.5Mbps. With the power cuts we've been having, when it comes back on, it's synced at 4Mbps. Usually a router reset puts it back up to normal, but nothing doing the last few days. It just sits at about 4 or just above. I might as well just downgrade my account and save a bit of money?

@TelkomZA, I pm'd you about wanting to know when my suburb will be upgraded to 10mbs. Please respond. Thanks.

Does anyone have a contact for one of the telkom techies that opens up ports on an exchange?

My line was installed, and is active, but i have no data access yet :(

I seriously cannot wait another 2 Weeks

I is willing to pays the bribes :) In fact, i am willing to do anything to get the line set up ASAP

Id suggest calling 10213 and finding out WTF they did to your order 0.o

so i had the line installed yesterday, and all was working, i could make and receive calls.

This morning.... NADA, so i can't even call telkom on 10213, well, i can, but i will have to use my mobile, and hold on for hours.

Ay, ay, ay, ay,
Canta y no llores

UPDATE
so i made a call using my mobile, and they tell me the techie is working on it as we speak, which could be the reason for voice line not working.

Hi!

I want to setup DDNS on my home pc.

I did activate it on the TI service management tool.

The port is forwarded on my router and remote desktop is enabled.

When I connect with my internet IP it connects but I can't connect with my DNS name.

Please help!
