Temp inside a fridge

Whats wrong with your inverter.

I have a frost free fridge. Biggest mistake in South Africa. You want a fridge that has enough ice build up to replace Mount Everest.

MSW + fridge I mean freezer's compressor don't like each other
I am in process of getting a PSW just for the fridge... donno when that will happen.

And sadly yes its one of those crappy Frost-free, self cleaning Defey's

That did not exactly go as planned when I had a week of no power after January's Payday shopping.

Mine does not make it a day if it is warm weather. I don't need a fancy temperature measure thingy to know that. If there is a 4 hour season during the day it goes on the inverter.

That's the thing if you don't open the door takes 8-10 hours. Mrs did open it this morning before we left so don't know 100%.

Today might not such a big issue but this is also not the 1st time, been having it more and more last month we even had 3 days of no power. So I am planning to prevent a problem

Not to worry got my solution. Will just use my TM308 as mentioned above.

Wasnt without a lack of trying. Ran the generator every night, but ja that plan failed as well.
At least the genny kept my Mecer topped up at night so petrol wasn't all wasted.

Edit: Oh and yes I am blond, forgot I had this meter. Has both alarm and memory functions, so can set alarm for 0ºC.

Yep, you set it to your desired temp and when it gets there it screams like a banshee from hell.

Donno for how long it will scream though, never tested that part.

Thanks. Sold. I was looking for something that could warn me when/if my freezer fails...

This seems like a good alternative to an IoT solution for now. Obviously this won't help when I'm not at home.

Yeah those have a heating element and fan to pull moisture out (wasting power). The standing types also loses cold air quickly when you open the door.

An old school box freezer type seems to be the best option for prolonged outages.

R100 more and I can see it remotely

I'll look at that option later but I rely on 4g for internet connectivity. Some times it is not reliable when the power is out for a long time.

I'm guessing you'll have the same problem when your mini ups for your fibre runs out of power...
