The 2016 Way Less Objectivity thread

I'm in as well.

Stepped on the scale this morning and looks like I put on 5 kg over the festive season :(

So now:
Starting weight: 90kg
Goal: 75kg
Goal Date: End of March/April
Method: Banting and gonna start gymming once I hit 80kg again.

My banting meal deliveries start up on the 11th so I should be back on track then. But been fairly good this week.. only eating steak or fish with veg. (for supper). Have a Peanut Butter Futurelife energy bar in the morning (I know not banting friendly but I guess it's not so bad if it's in the morning).

No, it is so bad, even if it's in the morning.
Banting is all about blood sugar being allowed to self-regulate. That futurelife bar messes your blood sugar up completely.
Rather have a handful of biltong or a boiled egg or even a chunk of cheese.

My biggest challenge is that I always do this alone. The family eats everything. It's leka ***.

Well now, that's why you joined this thread... I'm doing it alone as well at home, and my family are begging me to eat the same stuff as me... because it's soo awesome!

Here's my lunch for today:

Banting wrap from dischem, chicken, blare, cream cheese, tomato, mayo

Thanks. Will keep that in mind.
Problem with biltong is that I can never stop at just one handful :)

exactly my problem.

stop being a lazy schit and make bacon and eggs in the morning.

or if you are lazy, get your wife to do it. use words like "if you love me..." for motivation #livebyexample

I confess I am lazy to make breakfast in the morning... and unfortunately I don't have a SO to guilt into making me any goodies :(

I will just have an early lunch.. that should be easier to manage.

Just make some BPCoffee for brekkie then. Or do you only open your eyes 15 minutes after you arrive at work?

I buy a big biltong from the butcher and let them cut it for me. I then put small amounts in a small ziplock bags and pop them in the freezer. Then that is all I have available for the day. Same with nuts.
So I have eggs for breakfast with coffee with cream & butter, then I take a bag of biltong and nuts, and a small bakkie of the previous nights supper and sometimes a small greek yogurt with fresh fruit. Supper is normally a stew or meat and veg.

Hmmm for breakfast I have Supashape Diet Whey Vannila with lots of water ( 2 scoops with about 700ml ) - Carb count supposedly 7.5g and it keeps me fill until lunch. Weekends are egg time!

And on LCHF it actually doesn't matter how much you eat, anyway.

Not with me. For some reason I stop or slow whenever I have huge amounts of meat, like biltong.

define huge though?

Protein can be metabolised to glucose, so it's possible that a huge amount will affect your blood sugar.

Yeah biltong is the not right thing to eat if you are serious about loosing weight. Its ok from time to time but the sodium is high.Sodium increases the water holding capacity of your body...which is not what we want.
