Just watched That Sugar Film (2014)

Scary stuff... so glad I'm doing LCHF

What irritated me watching that movie is all the "healthy stuff" that was sold and is anything but. And as someone told me a while ago, Americans and their juice sizes, I reckon that's 80% of the problem, their average soft drink cup looks like a litre or at least 750mls.

I want to watch it soon, but from what I understand, he wasn't buying chocolates and things, but just ordinary foods like pasta sauce and apple juice. Things that come in jars and tins, but aren't thought of as sweet.

I think the only thing that I eat daily, that has added sugar, is my tea (have one tea with sugar at night) and my protein shake (which probably has a little added sugar).

I watched "Supersize me" the other day.

Very interesting watch but it really grated my carrots every time his doctor told him it was the high fat diet that was killing his liver, and not the massive amount of coke and chips he was consuming.

Yep he didn't, he was following a "normal healthy diet". The video is available on youtube btw.

That teen?
I'll never touch mountain dew, ever.

Another observation I made is that you pass very little, if any fizzy soft drink which proves how much of it stays in your system.

1 litre of coke = 1kg of fat.

I dunno about that. A litre of coke is 400 kcal, afaik.
1kg of fat is 9000kcal.

In the movie?
Think I missed it or don't remember.

They were talking about how the large "sugar" corporations respond with their own scientists and studies. Tongue in cheek the guy did say a video was posted after the coca-cola sponsored summit about the benefits of coke. The youtube video was a guy using coke to help remove the rust off a car bumper.

OP updated.

Weighed in at 89kg this morning.

Not seeing much movement at the moment, even though I have been fairly strict with my diet for the last 2 weeks.

/my scale is a POS & my tiles aren't flat so I try to take multiple readings and pick the most consistent one.
